Where Education, Knowledge and Preparation Meet
This course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 United States. It teaches child care providers and others to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.
The course covers the Four Steps of Pediatric First Aid and modules in Pediatric First Aid, Child/Infant CPR AED, Adult CPR AED, and Asthma Care Training.
This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in Pediatric First Aid, CPR and AED use.
This course meets Connecticut Department of Public Health Requirements for Child Care Workers!

Content taught in the Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid, CPR AED Course includes:
- First aid basics (including scene safety, finding the problem, calling for help and more)
- Illnesses and injuries (topics include but are not limited to)
-Bleeding and bandaging
-How to use an epinephrine pen
-Bites and stings
-Child and Infant Choking (already covered in 1st half)
-Car Safety and Prevention
-Child Abuse Regulations
-Checking a Child’s Temperature
-Cleaning and Sanitizing
